Meet Tella Kincaid — The Vision Behind "Jacket Junkie".

 

     For me, art has always been more than paint on a canvas. It’s energy. It’s freedom. It’s the power to take what lives in the imagination and make it real. I started my journey as a visual artist creating bold, vibrant pieces on canvas and murals. But I always knew my work wasn’t meant to stay hanging on a wall — it was meant to be lived in, walked in, and seen by the world.

 

That’s where "Jacket Junkie" was born.

 

     I wanted to merge my love for art with my passion for fashion, creating pieces that aren’t just clothing, but statements. Every jacket, hoodie, or coat I design is a canvas — one that turns everyday outerwear into wearable art. My goal is to make people feel seen, powerful, and unforgettable the moment they put one on.

 

    As a black woman and unconventional artist, representation and individuality are at the heart of everything I create. "Jacket Junkie" is my way of giving voice to the bold, the unapologetic, and the ones who refuse to blend in.

 

     My journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve navigated personal challenges, including vision struggles, but art has always been my compass. It guided me to build something bigger than myself — a brand that inspires others to express their own identity without fear.

 

    When you wear "Jacket Junkie", you’re wearing more than my art. You’re wearing my story, my passion, and my belief that fashion should never be ordinary.
